AUTHORS GUIDELINES
Guidelines for Speakers1. Presentation Time · Please confirm the session rooms and presentation times in the Final Programme of the Congress. · The time allocated for each paper is as follows: 20 min (15 min for presentation and 5 min for discussion).
2. Visual Equipment · All lecture rooms will be equipped with a computer projection system. · The computer-based presentation must be prepared as .ppt files (i.e. MS Office Power Point files). The presentation can be performed using the conference room available computer, or using your own notebook. To enable the proper installation of your .ppt file, you may bring your presentation file in a CD ROM or in a Memory stick.
3. Other Remarks · In case you cannot attend the Conference, please, announce this well in advance to the Conference Secretariat. If there is a colleague of yours attending the Conference, being acquainted with the subject and able to answer questions, you may ask him to present your paper. Do not ask non-competent persons to read the manuscript of your paper. · Please be in the lecture room at least 15 min before your session (or presentations modules). Announce your presence to the session chairman and inform him who is going to present your paper. · Do not read your submitted written text word by word. It is much more preferable to point out the basic ideas and/or heuristic explanations. · Speak as slowly and simply as possible. · Always speak into the microphone. · Inform your audience, with a few introductory sentences, about the broader significance of your paper. Explain each figure and table. Please give the audience enough time to understand a figure (or table) before going on to other topics. · When summarizing your presentation, talk about the conclusions and practical benefits of the results of your work. · Keep a check on your presentation time. Only 15 minutes will be allotted for your oral presentation, but if you can present your contribution in a shorter time, please do so. The presentation will be followed by a short discussion (5 minutes). · We will have light signals to inform you about your time. Green means you are O. K.; yellow means you only have 3 more minutes. Red, your time is up. · Please respect your chairman’s instructions during the presentation, particularly in keeping your time limit.
Thank
you for your kind cooperation. |
