CENAM organizes in Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico, the SIM General Assembly Week (SIM GA) from October 6th to 12th, 2013.
SIM GA is organized annually and it is the event where delegates from National Metrology Institutes of the Americas meet. Also, it is the opportunity to have special guests from other metrological regions.
In conjunction with the SIM GA take place technical meetings, workshops and conferences of general interest. This year NIST will organize an awareness event that deals with the metrology and technology challenges in the Americas on renewable energy and climate change.
Inter-American Metrology System (SIM)
The Inter-american Metrology System (SIM) resulted from a broad agreement among national metrology organizations from all 34 member nations of the Organization of American States (OAS).
Created to promote international, particularly Inter-american, and regional cooperation in metrology, SIM is committed to the implementation of a Global Measurement System within the Americas, in which all users can have confidence.
