Dear Hugo In Mexico, there is currently SISMENEC, the Mexican System of Metrology, Standardization and Conformity Assessment. It is made up of standardizing government agencies, private entities and national standardization bodies, and accredited laboratories that carry out conformity assessment in Mexico. Since few years ago CENAM carry out a conformity assessment for type approval for fuel dispensers, taximeters, instruments for measuring vehicle exhaust emissions, evidential breath analyzers and now energy meters Under the trade agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada, the new Quality Infrastructure Law was approved in Mexico, where the legal metrology activities are reorganized, and CENAM will have more participation in these activities in coordination with other organizations, and in some of them CENAM will be directly responsible.
